除了愛他的曲，佩服他的舞功，更尊敬他對音樂錄像製作的深遠影響，他的MTV成本比擬電影，好看得要命，也表現了高度的創意，加上不少歌曲本身就是一個故事，影像加強了歌詞的感染力，加深了聽眾的記憶，都是那個時代的代表作。娛樂之外，他於我還有其他影響，不是他的Thriller, 我根本就不懂這個字，亦沒有興趣去搞清楚Thriller類電影和恐怖電影的分別。就是基於對他的敬意，他的歌詞我看不懂的就查字典，以為懂的好像Beat It就覺得跟MTV的故事不相符引得我又去查字典，噢，原來是個俚語，在一般字典找不到，問人才知道是類似“滾蛋”的意思，不是要打人，怪不得常常Beat It，是叫年輕人遠離黑社會呀！我的英文詞彙的累積，他居功至偉呢！
